General Membership Meeting - February 16th, 2010

The WCEA is planning to hold a general membership meeting on Tuesday, February 16th. Members are encouraged to come during their lunch period to hear about this years upcoming negotiations. The meeting will be held at the Community Center (located at: Mar Vista and Washington) and will consist of 3 one half hour presentations and question/answer sessions. The presentations will start at 11:00am, 11:30am, and 12:00pm. You only need to be present for one of them, because they will each be the same.

WCEA Supports Local Taxpayer, Public Safety, and Transportation Protection Act of 2010

The quality of life for the citizens of Whittier depends on the revenue that the City is able to bring in. When the State of California takes and borrows billions of local taxpayer dollars, the ability for the City to provide services is diminished. The WCEA is passionate about the services that we provide for the citizens of our community and we believe that protecting the City's revenue is vital to maintaining the quality of life that our community has come to enjoy. It is this reason that our Association supports the "Local Taxpayer, Public Safety, and Transportation Protection Act of 2010".
